New hub for arts education opens in Wilmington, NC

Liza Minnelli and the North Carolina Symphony kicked off the inaugural season of Cape Fear Community College’s Humanities and Fine Arts Center in October. This new laboratory for student learning houses formal classrooms, studios, and labs for the visual arts, music, drama, film, communications, philosophy and religion, and foreign languages. In addition to the 1,500-seat multi-purpose performance hall, the center includes a flexible studio theatre, and an outdoor arts courtyard for pre-function use, art exhibits and receptions.

TCC collaborated with LS3P Architects and Creative Acoustics, providing programming, front- and back-of-house planning, auditorium design and performance systems design services.
