Gearan Center for the Performing Arts

Hobart and William Smith Colleges’ new performing arts building is designed to promote synergy among the creative and performing arts on campus. The facility’s light-filled lobby links three performance and rehearsal spaces designed specifically for theatre, music and dance, as well as a film-screening room for media and society. Flexible seating allows each space to be adapted for a variety of production types and audience capacities. An array of music classrooms and practice spaces, ensemble rehearsal room, costume and scene shops, dressing rooms, and control rooms support experiential learning.
