Savannah Cultural Arts Center
Savannah’s new cultural arts center transformed a parking lot across from the Civic Center into a park and venue for community-led theatre productions, craft workshops, art house cinema and showcase for local artists. The project includes a 340-seat multi-use mainstage and a second flexible studio theatre. Supporting the performing arts spaces is a back-of-house area that includes dressing rooms, and a scene shop. Two levels of workshops and studios for visual and media arts offer views to the creativity taking place within. Also accommodated in the facility is administrative space for the city’s Cultural Arts Department.
