Burning Coal Theatre

TCC assisted the Burning Coal Theatre Company with conversion of the historic Murphey School auditorium into a studio theatre and home for the growing theatre troupe. The auditorium’s interior was modified from a sloped floor proscenium form to create a versatile performance space on the first level that can seat 175 people “in the round” and 140 when configured as a thrust stage. A single row balcony surrounds the seating on three sides.
