Loyola University: Mundelein Center Renovation

In 2007, TCC submitted the winning competition proposal to design the first four floors of the historic Mundelein building. The study involved an in-depth examination of the functional space needs of the music, theatre and fine arts programs and the development of a detailed conceptual design that illustrated how they could best be accommodated within the landmark Art Deco building. The newly renovated building houses a new 250-seat thrust theatre, an ensemble rehearsal room, a multi-purpose glass roof-top space, a performance classroom, an experimental drama lab, music rooms, and scene and costume shops.
