We are seeking a Theatre Planning & Design Consultant with deep expertise in the design of performing arts facilities across a range of venue sizes. This role is ideal for a creative, self-directed professional with an architectural background, significant experience with performing arts facility design, and strong working knowledge of codes and accessibility requirements. High-level proficiency in Revit and AutoCad is required. Personality and excellent communication skills are key.
About the Opportunity: You will play a central role in the planning and design of performing arts environments. Your work will span early programming and feasibility studies through concept design, detailed design of the audience chamber, including seating layouts and sightline studies, planning of front- and back-of-house support spaces, and construction administration. You will collaborate closely with architects, owners, engineers, and specialty consultants, and confidently present design concepts to clients and stakeholders. This is a fully remote position for candidates based in the U.S. or Canada with regular travel for interviews, project meetings, site visits and industry events.
